Build Green Tile Adhesive for Stones & Large Tiles is a high-performance, polymer-modified Portland cement-based adhesive. It is designed for fixing large-sized tiles, vitrified, fully vitrified tiles, and dense stones, with an apparent porosity of less than or equal to 3%. This adhesive ensures high bond strength, excellent water retention, superior workability, and a reliable hold for large tiles and slabs.
All Surfaces should be free from all dirt, oil, grease, loose sand particles. If it is old painted wall/lime washed wall then first scratch old surface. Dry and absorbent surfaces should be moistened/pre wet with clean water.
Check the surface to be true to plumb. Rough or uneven concrete surfaces should be made smooth with Screed/Plaster material.
Place clean, potable water into a clean mixing bowl. Add Build Green Tile Adhesive powder into the mixing bowl. Use approximately 5.5-6L of water for 20 kg of powder. Mix by hand or with a slow speed mixer to a smooth, trowelable consistency. Allow adhesive to wait for 5 min. Adjust consistency if necessary. Remix and apply with the proper sized notched trowel.
Apply Build Green Tile Adhesive on the substrate using a notched trowel in order to achieve a minimum uniform thickness of 3 mm. Press firmly the tile into the substrate for certain seconds to ensure good contact with the adhesive. For better and full adhesion, apply Green Build Tile Adhesive on both; back of the tile and substrate.
Approx 50 to 60 sft per 20 kg bags Using 6X6 mm square notch trowel for a bed thickness of 3 mm (Coverage will vary depending on trowel notch size, type and size of tile and substrate smoothness and evenness)
